When you get some digital products on the internet, whether you buy it or someone gave it to you for free. it will come with a specific rights that limit your ability to distribute them. This term also known as Resell Rights, I really don't know which one is correct but the most common one are Resale Rights.
Products that came with resale rights means that you can sell the product to just about anyone and keep 100% of the profit. The product you sell though should only include the PUO right, in other word, you can NOT give the resale rights when you sell this type of products.
Master Resale Rights (MRR)
As of the resale right above, the master resale rights give you the same rights PLUS you can also sell the resale rights to your buyer.
This means someone who purchase the product from you, can also sell the products and keep 100% of the profits.
Even you have the master resale rights for a product, you will need to see if there are any other restriction to the product. Some product with master resale right can not be given away, can not be put in paid membership site, or sold in auction site.
Private Label Rights
This is by all means the higher rights there is. With this right you can almost do anything you want to do with your product. I said almost, because most of the private label rights products can not be given away for free.
You can edit the content, combine it with other product, break it down to smaller part, use it as your website content, edit the sales letter, put on new images, etc etc..
Most PLR products are non transferable, meaning you can't give the PLR right to your buyer. So look at specific restriction on the PLR when you buy products with this kind of rights
